Only a coward would need a sherpa to summit K2, but two essentials every climber needs are:Ā 1. a way to keep warm, andĀ 2. a way to eat. A straightforward design that troops relied on for years, these can be easily operated while wearing gloves. The top chimney cover can be easily removed, allowing mess kits to sit above the open flame.Ā
