Issued Turm L51 Kerosene Tent Heater

NOTE: These are vintage items produced between 1952 and 1962. Expect honest wear consistent with age and prior use; minor surface oxidation, wick wear, and cosmetic marks are normal. Many have broken or damaged viewing windows. We do not recommend using these for their intended purpose.

Only a coward would need a sherpa to summit K2, but two essentials every climber needs are:  1. a way to keep warm, and  2. a way to eat. We've got some serious heat with these old school Turm L51 Tent heaters; robust German-made heater/stoves previously issued in the Swiss Army around the 1950s/60s. Designed to be used with Kerosene fuel, these things are a robust bit of gear from the height of Switzerland's Cold War readiness. A straightforward design that troops relied on for years, these can be easily operated while wearing gloves. The top chimney cover can be easily removed, allowing mess kits to sit above the open flame.
